They don't look like it. You would not recognize the uniform. These are the guys that Zorro fought with in the TV series. The fat sergeant was in the dark blue jacket with a leather vest thingy.
These men were never from Spain. They were locals. I will use a more brown tan fresh color for skin. Dusty flesh 6A and 6C only.
The Dark blue jacket will be Foundry Prussian Blue. All 3 but not in the Foundry tri color way. 66C as an extreme highlight and 66A as the blending wash.
The minis available come in a quilted and padded armor vest. It is not going to stop a bullet. It will take some kinetic impact and protect against a slash. Foundry Chestnut, 53, for the quilted and Rawhide, 11, for the padded.
The last of the infantry in assembly. Gluing arms blows. More arms stick to me than the dudes.
The spats or leggings are Foundry 10A with AP soft tone wash. 10B only highlight and a very thinned wash of 10A.
The labels never stay on the pots. |
The boots were base AP black. ! highlight Foundry 57A followed be a light dry brush of 57B. Then all washed with a very thin AP black.
I forgot I had Foundry 101. 101 is the best. I would have done the boots with it. But I am old and can't remember nothing. Half the belts and sword scabbers and every ammo pouch are 101B
1st group is done. Flocked sealed and in the foam.
Next up.
No slap chop or inks or contrast. I prime white. Then wash with dark tone. I am old cannot see. The wash does two things. I get to see every detail and it black lines the mini for me.
