Bought another collection part III

 

        That is it the last 4 items from the collection are up for sale. I have sold 513 total. I came home and spend over half the day packaging toys up to go.

         

        I also sold all of my painted 28mm Imperial Romans and Africans. The 28mm AWI infantry from the collection I bought at Little Wars went too.

            More evil looking men for the company, EIC. Normally BS comes in about a week. This time it was 3 weeks. The Royal Mail is still all screwed up!

Back out on the Road part V

 

        I got a Cali trip. Not a normal thing. It takes all day to get there or back. Its a waste unless I am out there over the weekend. A guy left us, I need to cover one of his customers and train the new dude. The west coast guys are busy. So fly all day Monday and all day Friday. 

        It delta out and back. The flights are crazy expensive, 1.5k. No 1st class available, very little comfort +. Its going to be a rough ride. Holiday Inn express this time. It double points plus 5k a night. It will equal out to a free room on points. I own Delta stock.

        The biggest change is load out. I fly with paints and minis. I don't take my whole kit. A very scaled down specific kit to match the dudes primed. It take s more thought and planing.

        With a reduced kit and an unknown customer base I packed to be flexible and productive. I say this because the engineers out here live close. They will go home every night. They are known to work later because of traffic. I don't think I will be sitting around, but almost every night should be free. 

        I have easy dry brushing, details to pick out, and full 28s to block in. 

Terrain Boards, Cons and the Future part XVII

 

        A resupply from Marauder Industries. I am going to encircle the hills on two tiles with the city walls. Then back fill and have a raised city area.

I some how screwed the order up. Everything came 40% bigger?

        In the end of last quarter I got another GW board. The river board should have more tiles. Also to lay in the city walls I need to remove the flock that is there. I did a very good job ensuring it won't come off. It is not easy to remove. I was thinking power washer. Then a set of 6 tiles came up wicked cheap. 

        The new tile with the old or original city walls. The first few are square and laid in. Square because I may want to extend in that direction one day. The train tracks are down with some bits found while cleaning out.

Lastly another tile for the desert board. All were rescues found during the room move.

Bought another collection part II

         The sale of the first eBay lot listed netted 24. You will never get rich doing this. The buying of collections does not always work out. This year has been especial good to me. People have money again. I have broke even each time, given my mates minis/partial armies, cherry picked. 

        You will get free minis out of it. In some cases it is the only way to get those items not normally available or rare or in a quantity you need. You will get stuck with some of it forever or if lucky years.

        I purchased it for 270.00. Cherry picked it. Sold 28 items for $384 in the first listing. 

                That seem great but y'all know ebay will take a big chunk. I was so much more happier with paypal. The ebay payment thing can eat a bag of dicks!

All STOP, Drop Anchor Again part III

 

        This whole thing has taken a lot longer than I expected. I thought I would be up and running 3-4 days after the dude finished. It been almost a week and a half and I am still at it. 

        I sold a top to a tool box to buy another bottom. It was almost a straight up exchange. I had to kick in another 40 bucks. The new bottom is used as a stand for the spray booth. I spray in doors all year round, both rattle cans and air brush. In the old room this created a shit ton of dust and dirt. In the new room everything will be vented outside.

        All the Al rails are left overs from the original painting table. The sides are wood and cardboard, also scrap. I used the left over liquid nails stuff to seal the box. 

        My old airbrush filter box from MicroMart was then bolted to the back. A drier hose will send the dust, dirt, flumes, and crap outside. 

        I finished attaching the shelves. The kid want to load them up and organize my stuff. Everything is now back in my room. 

        Along the way I discovered terrain that had been hidden, lost. Some quick repairs were needed. Then they were properly stored away.

        Some bits recovered to create new pieces of terrain. The orals are foots from 3D printing.

Anno Domini 1666 My Swords has shipped!!!

         I saw it at Little Wars for sale. Nothing for me. I saw the dudes in OH were getting theirs. Nothing for me. Then today;

        Now I will be staring out the window. Nothing has changed. When I was little, I would mail a letter for soldiers. Then wait forever. I waited so long I had forgotten about them. One day a box would be there at dinner. 

Bought another collection

 

        A dude was unloading a bunch of Marine and IG Epic stuff. 270 got me a gallon bag and half gallon bag stuffed. I took it to cherry pick and sell off the rest. There was a boxed company of IG, Leman Russ detachment, 2 Thawks,7 termie detachments, a butt load of marines, 12 metal rhino, metal LRs, serval poorly painted tactical detachments and so on

        I only wanted the bombards, bassies, FW bombers, manticores, and the hellbore.

        28 items are up already. There is a little under half left to list. I have sold 2 for 14. 256 to go after cherry picking. I should easily break even plus cherries!

All STOP, Drop Anchor Again part III

 

        All the actual work is done. With the exception of wiring up the baseboard heater. That doesn't matter. 

        Dog always hangs out with me when I paint. Now his bed is right under the table. I can never get him to go to it. I have never seen him there. Yet I see he has been there, drool marks and the toys come and go.

        There is a lot of work to be done just getting the printers back up. I have upgrades and leveling, and test prints to do.

        The shelves will be finished tonight. Then all the stuff gets moved back in.

        After the trash dudes come and the worker dude comes, the drafting table will be cleared. Then I can start casting pipes for my mate.
