GW and STLs

         Dude. I got 2 pots of GW paint at a non-GW store 13+. Jesus 6 something a pot. I have to change my opinion. 

        Foundry paint is wicked cheap. 3 pots for 12 bucks. The pots are larger. GW can eat a dick! Foundry is available stateside now. You can get it at Badger Games.

On the Road part VII

 

        This week a Crowne Plaza. Last week too. They have 3k point extra a night. Thats a free room a week. Best part they have a great light. 118 - 122 have a private garden for cigars. I was able to paint some Wednesday as the customer couldn't get out of their own way.

        Last week I painted the crane base. 

        And these arrived. FW transfers are a 1000x better than the original group that went out.

Books and kickstarter

 

        I have a copy. I printed on my normal card stock with a spiral bind. I like it flat when is open and I write all over my playing copy. I wanted the Hard back copy. Impossible to find. I was too late to the game.

        With the new edition coming out. People are letting go of things they normally wouldn't. The Hard back rulebook came out in two editions. The 1st from Kickstarter and the 2nd was a revised printing. So many people wanted the hard back it was printed twice. Prior to the new edition. The book, either edition, was going for 100+. I got it for 35 this week, 1st edition.

        The Pirate History podcast referenced the Sack of Panama. I though it would be a great source for scenarios. 

        Amazon as always. I can't put up with the bullshit. Except this time I got the bullshit. A library copy. I want hard backs. Paper backs are junk. Amazon had a new and a used one available. The used was 4 dollars cheaper and said very good condition. A fuckin library book. Its not worth toilet paper.

Blood and Plunder "Ships" part I

 

            Air Brush time. Never waste your time brush painting large item. Even with the time it takes to clean the air brush. You are way far ahead.

            The decks were primed GW bone. Then the two air brush paints below. Then washed with the the GW contrast.

        The hull was layed with the same brown and a black. Then the colors you see for the upper hull. These are just base colors on the hull. Remember they tarred the hulls for water proofing. They will be much darker when done.

        I was able to base coat both is under two hours.

They finally arrived yesterday!

On the Road part VI

             I don't know what fuck is going on. I think the god dam aliens are getting me every night. There is something wrong with Burlington. I have been all over the world. I have been in shit holes, and holes where the locals ain't friendly like. I have never woke up - jacked up in new and exciting ways.

        Here, here. It has to be aliens. Every morning I wake up smoked. I am smoked at 4pm. Tired like I haven't slept. It it is not work. Fuck all is happening. I have different parts hurting and others not working. This morning just above my left kidney felt like I took a round. By noon nothing, right proper. Yesterday my right knee, the good one was sliding around. By dinner, no nada, ran like a horse. Tonight my right hand hurts, like I smashed the bastard with a hammer, and the left forearm is twitching. If I make a fist in either it goes away. Then its jumping around. I am a fuckin marionette!

        Yeah yea. I ain't drinking. There is no coke and hookers or any of that other shit y'all are into. These bitches be cheese faces in VT. Plus I am cutting, liftin, and running. Yo if my ass vanishes the aliens got me!

On the Road part V

 

        Now I am screwed. I will be gone for the next 3 weeks after this job. And I got to fly. That limits the amount of crap I can bring. I do double the number of bags I normally go with. My tool box goes in the NorthFace rolling bag with most my cloths. My kit, because there are paints, goes into a Travelpro normal suitcase along with manuals, cleanroom shit, and my running BS.

        The little black GW case that goes everywhere gets exchanged for the large red case on extend trips.

By the time the case is closed. That second tray will be full of primed minis.

            Most the weekend was spent priming dudes. Everyone is coming. P&B, 1898, Black Scorpion, 20mm modern, and terrain. Enough dudes for 2 to 3 weeks. Why so many? I got a feeling this is going to be a job with a ton of hurry up and wait.

        Everything survived the flight. I got a lot of work to do. Painting, not real work.
