I bailed Thursday night. I was the host parent for the kids trick or treating. Friday, I hung out with Tom. I have known Tom for as long as I have been alive. He was great friends with my father. They co-authored a book together. When I started going to HMGS Cons. Tom was a long time wargamer. I played in every game he hosted. Covid hit and his wife started to suffer from old people problems. This was Tom's first Fall In back. We didn't play a game. Just talked and then hit the dealer hall together. I had one last drink with him Saturday after round two of the tourney. We planned a game day at his house out in OH.
Saturday was the Epic tourney and buying Walley's basement stuff. Walley's was the normal mad house. The time slots were shorter. Same dudes selling in each one. HMGS said the time shorten because the demand was high for spots. I did not see so many different sellers. There was an even mix of deals, store prices, and fortune holders. Little to no Epic and no Warmaster.
I unloaded an Epic Eldar bare metal army and a building.

All Metal, 40 bucks |
16 dudes. Terrible paint job and rebasing needed. 19 dudes. All metal, great paint job. 65 bucks. Rebasing and replacing metal spear with resin. 15 dudes. All plastic, ok paint job. 20 bucks. I will touch them up and fix the horse hair chest. 5 bucks for a set of low walls. 10 bucks 28mm colonial building.

Basing and priming everything for travel painting.
Pirate scatter terrain Camels for 1698 project.
Then there is this mess. I blame Kal. He had the mini rule book all Con long. I hate Hail Caesar. I think the rules are shit. Warmaster Ancients and Fields of Glory are way better. I have 10mm metal ancients. What do I need more 10mm dudes for? Or another rule set?
The mini book was 35 bucks alone. I understand the price. More people will buy the mini book than the minis. I am guessing the release of HC is offsetting the plastics launch.
The army box with Vet discount 145. So instead of spending 35, I spent 145. The mini are nice enough. The rule book I would like to de-spine and spiral bind it. I may sell off the minis as units or paint and sell it. THE MOUNTAIN

That's not a Colonial Building, that's the Alamo after it conversion to an arsenal in 1850.
