PineApple Express
Not that Pinapple. This is an Afghan mission. A mission organized and led by Veterans. The struggle to locate, move, and pass to the Abbey Gate (airport) should be the focus and where the VPs are within the scenario. The Shepherds, Conductors, and Passengers are the gaming pieces in play. The Civilians not in play, the Taliban and their checkpoints, and their shenanigans will be controlled by the GM. The airport, the bombing, and the events outside the wire will start and end at the Conductors. There would be no way to represent the press of bodies and desperation outside the wire with miniatures while creating a playable area. The airport is massive. It would be too large and a waste of space not playable. The traffic jam, the crowds, the mass of people, and the tight buildings is where I want the focus the action. The check points and roaming Taliban will create the stress. The locating and vetting of allies and their journey is where it is at.

Where is the guy with the red sunglasses? |
It is time to round up some all the buildings and scatter terrain, count up the minis, and go look at rules. And read the AARs from those dudes that went. Nick did a video interview directly after returning. I need to find it.
