Epic World Eaters Vs Sisters 3000pts

        I got double lucky. Sunday day became free. Posted last minute and Kal was free also. It has been ages since a game of NetEA. I can't lie. There were some problems. I could not remember the initial deployment sequence. I forgot about garrisons. Not that I had any. I should have picked corners when dropping.

        Game ended turn 3. Sisters 3 --- World Eaters 1. Kal got BTS, DTF, and TSNP. I took BTS. I had the chance for DTF and deny TSNP. Kal broke the Lord of Battle in a shooty engagement and I failed to advance my WE Berzerkers across the 50. Kal's last activation shot me off the DTF and contested.

        I thought about bring the Tau out. Then went with the World Eaters. No fancy French list. World Eaters V3.8, the current TacCmd list. Completely different from the French list I play getting ready for Lyon. The French is much stronger.

        Problems

                List issues;

                        1.) Predators are only an upgrade for WE Berzerker Retinue.

                        2.) WE Possessed Retinue has "Chaos Pact." What the hell is that?

                Self induced;

                        I went crazy with upgrades. My detachments were wicked expensive. Only 9 activations to             start, 5 off board (and the Space Craft is a once and done activation), the first turn was rough.

                        The Hellfires got picked on right away, were broke by aircraft, and stayed that way till turn             3. They did nothing all game. Now I am down to 3 activations on board. Hellfire cannons are too                slow, too juicy, and break if the sun raises.

                        I forced the SC and drop. The SC did break a detachment. The drop broke a detachment.                 Then faced two to the right and 3 more detachments to the left. Had I waited till the last of my                     activations the end result my have been more to my favor.

                        The lord of Battle was too expensive for what it did. It is tough as nails. As one of the only             shooty items in the list it is easily avoided. Two more activation would have been nice.

My List;

WORLD EATERS BERZERKER RETINUE [350]

4 World Eater Legionaires, 4 Khorne Berzerkers, Free Rhinos, Blood Lord

WORLD EATERS TERMINATOR RETINUE [550]

World Eaters Skull Lord, 6 World Eaters Terminators, Keeper of Chains - Icon Bearer, Daemonic Pact

WORLD EATERS POSSESSED RETINUE [200]

4 World Eaters Possessed, Chaos Pact, World Eaters Skull Lord

WORLD EATERS CHOSEN RETINUE [375]

4 World Eaters Chosen, World Eaters Skull Lord, Dreadclaws, Daemonic Pact, 2 World Eaters Dreadnaughts, Keeper of Skulls - Champion of Chaos

DEVASTATION CLASS CRUISER [150]

THREE HELLBLADE INTERCEPTORS [200]

LORDS OF BATTLE [425]

Lord of Battle

JUGGERNAUTS [350]

7 Juggernauts

KHORNE SUPPORT ENGINES [275]

4 Hellfire Cannon

WORLD EATERS DAEMON POOL [125]

Greater daemon (Bloodthirster), 5 Bloodletters

                 My BTS was a 550 Termie detachment. They were the stars! They tied up the complete right flank and sucked up activation after activation. Each engagement saw a detachment elimination.

                They teleported T1 extreme right flank. Which I then lost initiative roll. They were gang banged and broken. Yet eliminated an activation with the loss of 2 out of 6.  T2 they came back and sucked up 3 more activations to break them again. I finally lost the BTS in T3. The termies being expensive, never lost an engagement. They broke by casualties.

                The World Eaters are nasty in engagements. I need practice getting them in! Once in even if they lose they win.

Kal's List

In no specific order game pics;

            There is something wrong in blogger. It no longer has the gear thingy to up date the Mountain.
