Last week I was at the doubletree. The desk lamp is brighter. The bulb is yellow. I grabbed the floor lamp for the opposite side and mine is in the middle. Desk height and chair are almost perfect.
I remember all of my kit this time. Monday and Wednesday were long days. Tuesday was a free night.

On September 7 1695, Henry Every on the Fancy and two other smaller ships took an India royal ship on its way back from Mecca. The greatest haul of pirate goods at sea in the age of sail to date. Including a princess.
This Mughal ship’s captain tool bag and a political appointment. While he had 4 young young white girls chained up. The India royal AAR records 4 young young girls from Turkey. Their names, and whatever happened to them in the end was not recorded or didn’t survive.
Either way on the 5th shit went sideways from the get go. A cannon on board blew up during initial firing. There were civilians, passengers, on deck watching the action that ate hot bronze. The deck were swept by 1 or 2 broadsides from the Fancy from off the stern quarter. Then they were boarded, small arms at close range followed by a brawl. Something like 300 men are down. The Fancy was short over a hundred the next day.
When the pirates boarded the captain of this ship ran below decks. The India AAR records him going to his cabin. There he dresses his girls in turban. He hands them swords and pistols. Says bitches get to work. The English record about the same. Except no turban and he unchains them and that they were white.
The India AAR says these girls were bought as entertainment for and by the captain. The English thought they would have been sold as entertainment. Either way I am sure they knew their fate. So why when handed weapons did they not jack the captain proper?
The girls, and they were girls, had just heard an explosion on board, people screaming and chaos, knew pirates were about to engage, heard/felt two broadsides, small arms fire, screams and more screams as fuckers are hacking each other to pieces……Then pop topside before the mast to go get some.
Both sides said they did exactly that! That would have been some extra scary as hell ass shit. Screams ring in your ears. Blood drips from the deck above. You would be blind as soon as you came up. There would be smoke. The smell of burnt metal, flesh, and blood everywhere. The deck would be a slip and slide. Multiple people with missing limbs and spraying blood. You got no idea how a pistol works and no proficiency with a sword……And you are about 13.

VV’s pirate force is just about all female. These young girls shall be her captains! She can name them whatever. I will paint them an Persian tone. Not white.
It all started when I got a double stack tool chest. Not that I needed it. It was 30% of the in store price. The big red guy.
In the end it double fucked me. I had more storage before. It took 3 hours longer to get than plan.
The idea was to take part the wings off the assembly bench. And in the near future pitch the assembly bench. Now where I will hang or store my field target guns, that is not part of the plan. By removing both wings I free up that entire wall.
I moved the assembly bench 3 times. It is extra heavy, extra bitch. All for it to end up 4 inches left of where it originally was. I gained little to no space and gave up 3 shelves packed full of epic, B&P, 20mm FoF & Sudan, and BFaS.
At least I cleaned up some.
This year I will take over the whole space. Someone will close it off, stud and insulate it. The assembly bench can go. I would replace it with two more, one more drafting table.
It has been so long I changed my load out. I pulled my books and paint kit to lighten the load. Then properly run out the door and left half my shit behind. I forgot the load the brushes and the wet palette. Lucky me. I have done this before. There are brushes hidden in my bag. Those take apart brushes from AdeptiCon.
I did have to go and get a dollar store sponge. The dollar store is not the dollar store any more. I had to go fish change from the car. I never carry cash any more.
This time I am in a Fairfield. The light here sucks. I moved the lamps and busted out the one I carry. It is a piss poor experience without my full kit. It shouldn't be this hard.
