Epic Times 1st monthly game day

 

            At NEEAT this past June, We all decided that the PA group should have a monthly Epic day also. A poll was taken for which Saturday in August and another for location. The 2nd was selected and 6 Feet Under the location. 

            4 players showed up. I was the only one with a single army. The others had 2 with them. We had Traitor Guard, Eldar Titans, Sisters, Squats, Orks, Nids, and Squats. Kal and myself got 3 games in. Shawn and Darius 2.

            I ran Traitor guard with Garrisoning Malcadors and dual Disciples.

            Game 1. Kal's Eldar Titans. I took a beating. Kal was breaking or smoking a detachment every activation. Lance and Marcos were chewing me up. I put serval titans in the foam but lack staying power. 4 - 0 Blitz, T&H, TSNP, BTS

            Game 2. Shawn's Nids. Another loss, turn one my Malcadors broke and never came back. I failed every SC reroll. Not activating hurt. 2 - 0. T&H, TSNP.

            Game 3. Darius' Orks. A win! A win given to me by Darius' dice. He was failing activations, would roll 20 dice and get a single hit, could buy a save, and bounced in engagements.

30K Epic World Eater Thunderhawk

            Original Forge World Thawk, All FW transfers. It was, has been half way done for years. I was not interested. The Thawk continue to be pushed around the paint table, pushed all the way in a back corner. The time had come to finish it and move it off to the foam.

                The FW Thawk transport version was first. I pulled it out to match this one. The cannon on front is somewhere. I found it, put it in a special place. Now I don't remember that place.

The Great Sell Off part VI

 

                    Since my father died, I am left to sell his collection. I know jack all about his collection, the value, or how to sell it. I don't know the market. Over the years he told me this and that. I did not pay close attention or memorize what he said. Now I sit here trying to sort it all out and get Mom the most out of it's sale.

                    In an effort to save my family from the circus the Great Sell Off. I don't want my kid or my wife to have to deal with the massive amount of soldiers I have. They know a few mates in passing. They don't know what anything is, it's value, or where to find buyers. I will be selling off everything I have never used, sat in a box since the NY days, and those treasures I snatched up, opened the box, and they remain in that same box.

                The Mars army sold to Coach, 1st edition epic buildings and 3D printed buildings are gone. IG scouts, Italian WB characters, Port royal plastic dudes, Immortal Minis are gone.

                I sold another 800 in Custer Books. 3 of which totaled 400.

Custer Last stand Hill repair

 

            Father Vince dropped his minis. They broke and he lost parts. Last year or 2 years ago he asked if I would fix it. It took a year for him to give it to me. I had repair everything but this dude.  He came to me with no head, hand and a broken weapon.

            It is not 54mm, nor 1/35th or 1/32nd. It took forever to find something of scale. I even tried printing parts for week. The scale was hard to match. I was measuring the other minis. Then matching that scale to this dude. Ha he was not the same. So on and on it went. The arm is the right length, but the hand and fingers are out of scale. The head is the right width, but the face is a little long. This is as close as I could get.

            I had to repaint or touch up 70% of him.

Colonial Spanish Barracks part IV

 

            1/4 inch Cork kiddy wall stuff attached with automotive glue. That is the nastiness spray glue made. It's true purpose is to attach the head liner in cars.

            Kind of a pain to cut out around the Tile's edge.

            The courtyard flock in fine dirt and med Mediterranean dirt.

            I think the tile roof is ok. I pulled up the cork around the build creating a raised area.

            A custom blend of flock.

Sallies Vs Word Bearers 3000pts

 

                    Chicago Matt's Word Bearers came to mi casa for a game post HMGS HistoriCon. Sallies' orbital killed the WB SC turn one 1st activation. My termies kept their record for bouncing. Word Bearer were down to 4 heavily beat up formations at the end of T2. Matt called it.
