Crowne Plaza, no points. I am tagging along with the wife. She has the week before the holiday. I have the week after. Sitting around while she is working, I got some painting done. And Xmas shopping with the kid.
Marriott double points and 2k a night. Junk lighting. I got very little done as I forgot my glasses.
Down to St Augustine for HM1's Xmas party. I got proper pissed and throw up all over the room. No paints. Hotel, Rental car and Air all on points. Only paid for an Ubers and 50 for the mess the maid had to deal with.
This AZ trip put me to Delta Diamond status with 14 days to spare. Platinum gets you 500 bucks on your delta AmEx. Which pays for the card. Diamond gets you 3 choices. I took 700 bucks, Sky Club and 2000 kicker for next year. You could take an 8k kicker getting to Diamond if you didn't think next year's travel would be so much. Next year will be more the same. Another senior engineer is gone.
Holiday Inn full service crap lighting. This one is 5k a night, double points, and 3k every 2 nights. AZ again, still a mess. Late Monday night flight, red home Thursday. My give a shit level is at zero. I did not bring my kit. Only a few terrain pieces and 6 pots of paint.
A nap on Friday after the red eye and off to Albany. Staybridge 2 room suite. 3k every 2 nights double points, no bonus points. I have my mother and Aunt as tag alongs. I drop them off at my brother's for Xmas late on the 23rd. Or in a hotel cause he can't be bothered. Both are staying for free in Cuse on my points at a shit Candlewood. Cause its too far for his fat ass to fetch them at the nice hotel. 4 more miles!
Then rocket home for 24/25. The 26th high speed transit to FL for a New Years Cruise. No paint kit, just cigars!
