     Man, I have not been home is so long I don't remember which light switch does what! Here I stand flipping switches like a mad man trying to get the fan to come on.

    First thing is first, Ebay stuff going out. Of course nothing sells until the day after I leave. Next finish up some minis, to make room. 2 more aircraft for the traitor guard/IG. Another character for India. I wanted her skin to be a little lighter. I don't know, I may go back?

Cigar Fest 2023. I missed the best 3 days. Heavy rotation screwed me out of them. I went Sunday. I had received the 45 preselected cigars months ago. Once the fest starts you get to pick another 20. Last year's selection to pick from was 1000 times better. I gave 7 of my 20 away to deployed soldiers. Montecristo was there. I got 2 boxes of the sword, light&dark, 11 bonus cigars, 2 ash trays, 2 bags. Then the wifi won stuff.

        My city table needs too much work. I won't finish in time. Being gone for so long, so much, so many weekends, made finishing it impossible. I want to do it right. Ensure it will hold up to Con play and transport. I need a special table for Fall In. The Ork city never sold. I will paint it up for Fall In. 

    
        My kid has been breaking balls to paint stuff again. I am taking full advantage of her. She is doing Anno Domini 1666 terrain for me. The desert building is a stretch, but remember Raoul deployed and died in North Africa.

NetEpic Armageddon Traitor Guard Vs Emperor's Children 3000pts

 

        I went with an Elastic Defense concept. The tank companies being deployed forward. Disciples would allow for the elasticity of the tank companies. The INF and scouts would protect against flanks and tellies. Then a shield of flak.

        The  expense of companies as a core choice creates problems with activation count. I could not squeeze in a SC. Free enforcers every 500 points puts almost every activation with +1 in combat. 

        The Maladors are 15cm move. They can garrison with a 75cm range. Units in garrison are considered in cover while on overwatch. This is the trick of the army! That 75cm battle cannon puts they deployment zone in range.

        Kal put up an excellent test. Kal laid down the objectives in the worst situation for my list to function with. He had air and tellies. No BMs or orbital gave an advantage. With either I think I would be screwed due to the size of activations. 

        At the end of 3, I had DTF with his blitz contested. A failed activation stopped me from getting TSNP. This army needs a SC. it cannot function failing activations!

    Tank company deployed on overwatch on a forward objective.

        The other tank company garrisoned forward. the Black road is half way. The disciples are right behind ready to leap or cover the treat. 

        End of turn one. Everything hiding, tank companies anchoring and getting attention. The disciples in covering positions. Sentinals pushed up to screen the flank.

The Road Heavy Rotation part VII

 

        I have got nothing done in 3 weeks. I play one game of Epic with Kal, one game of Anno Domini 1666 with VV. Then flying back and forth to Cali.

        At least the printer was burning the whole time making parts for the city table.

        Some dude was unloading his 30k Aussie marines. In the lot were Sallies. I grabbed it for one small baggie of Sallies for 40 bucks. the rest were sold before arriving for 150. The left overs are going to Coach.

The Road Heavy Rotation part VI

 

        This last trip was a mess. There were no flights. I had to go out of Dullas. Every plane out of IAD is 20 years old. No first class, comfort + was as expensive as 1st.  I got off the plane to the Hertz and my Co card is maxed. Card service increase the limit. Back in Cali, this time staying at the Residence Inn. It was 425 a night. I check in. Co card is maxed again.

        All the part sent were not assembled correctly. I had to rebuild what they gave me on site. Then the customer's tool was not functional. 

I painted nothing, worked the weekend, and flew home for 15 hours. I could have made it to Kuwait in that time!

Terrain Boards, Cons and the Future part XX

 

        Work has interfered with the project. I have been gone too much to get anywhere. I never thought I would be so far behind. It will be a struggle to get finished by Fall In.

        On the first raised board the foam shrunk. I had to re-enforce the top of the hill with 3mm plastic card. This in turn created another problem. The tile that would line up next to it would be 3mm too low. 

        After all the time wasted screwing. Roads are being laid down on the 5th tile. This one will have a grand avenue leading to the FW church.

        Now what? Do I use a realm of battle tile with 3mm plastic card on top or build some sort of wooden tile. I want to save the GW tile. I started with a wooden one. There was enough flex that the roads would pop off. It was re enforced, rebuilt, messed with. Then I said F it! GW tile with plastic card.

        I am printing the Dark Realms walls for the second raised tile. the Flashforge is cranking them out.

        I scaled these down by 20%. They seemed too big in the slicer. They were most likely they right size. I am still happy.

Bought another collection part VI

 

        The SM & IG netted 513. I paid 270.

        The Chaos collection rains in another 60 bucks. It is upwards of 700 total now. I paid 450.

        The Eldar Collection has been selling, 105. Other items are sold, but I will be handing those off. It cost me a total of 546.25

        The IG over flow has sold, 136.00 so far. I am about half out of this one. I expect to be even steven on it. I paid 250.
