NetEpic Armageddon Traitor Guard Vs Emperor's Children 3000pts

 

        I went with an Elastic Defense concept. The tank companies being deployed forward. Disciples would allow for the elasticity of the tank companies. The INF and scouts would protect against flanks and tellies. Then a shield of flak.
        The  expense of companies as a core choice creates problems with activation count. I could not squeeze in a SC. Free enforcers every 500 points puts almost every activation with +1 in combat. 
        The Maladors are 15cm move. They can garrison with a 75cm range. Units in garrison are considered in cover while on overwatch. This is the trick of the army! That 75cm battle cannon puts they deployment zone in range.

        Kal put up an excellent test. Kal laid down the objectives in the worst situation for my list to function with. He had air and tellies. No BMs or orbital gave an advantage. With either I think I would be screwed due to the size of activations. 

        At the end of 3, I had DTF with his blitz contested. A failed activation stopped me from getting TSNP. This army needs a SC. it cannot function failing activations!





    Tank company deployed on overwatch on a forward objective.

        The other tank company garrisoned forward. the Black road is half way. The disciples are right behind ready to leap or cover the treat. 

        End of turn one. Everything hiding, tank companies anchoring and getting attention. The disciples in covering positions. Sentinals pushed up to screen the flank.
