During this trip I had a chance to buy two sets of armor. One was just coming out of a crate. A tempo, a replica tempo and an Edo period mask. The armor I inspected but never asked a price. The head liners were in all the helmets, so no way to confirm age. And you could hear the lacquer side around inside the armor. The mask I was pretty sure was not Edo period. Of course no CoA. Now the Tempos were 570ish and the replica 175. I thought hard about the replica. It wasn't that much and if US took it. it would not suck so bad.
From the Matsumoto armory.
An example of what one carried and how.
